What is Coach Community?
Coach Community is a not for profit entity, dedicated to supporting communities by making coaching accessible to individuals who may not otherwise access it, and to developing coaches through building their confidence, expertise and professional standing.
By working with charitable organisations and newly qualified coaches we aim to:
Create a space in which people in need of support can access high quality, confidential coaching free of charge
Create a space in which newly qualified coaches can really learn their trade and gain valuable accreditation hours
Joining Coach Community as a charitable organisation
If you’re familiar with professional coaching you will know the benefits of this type of tailored, confidential, individually focused support. Through Coach Community, we will provide your selected team members with no-cost monthly coaching sessions for a period of 6 months.
What you will receive as a partner of Coach Community
If your organisation takes part in the 9 month programme, you will:
Be able to support the growth and development of members of your professional team through one-to-one, professional, confidential coaching at no cost
Gain an insight into the nature and benefits of the coaching process
Be provided with an onboarding process which will cover the way in which Coach Community will work with your team members
Have the opportunity to give feedback on Coach Community coaches at two points
Gain exposure for your organisation through Coach Community marketing activity
Be invited to contribute to Coach Community Blogs, Newsletters and Social activity

Joining Coach Community as a Coach
Coach Community is designed for newly qualified or trained coaches who are looking to build on their learning through active participation in coaching work. If you’ve recently qualified, you will know that it’s only the start of your journey to become a professional coach.
What you will receive as a Coach on Coach Community
If you decide to join Coach Community as a coach, you will:
Build your knowledge, experience and practice in key stages of the coaching process including chemistry sessions, contracting, note taking and triad meetings through an onboarding process and ongoing support
Gain coaching hours and exposure to support the achievement of your accreditation credentials by being provided with coachees
Receive development through onboarding workshops and ongoing support
Get valuable supervision support from a professional Coach Supervisor through 4 team supervision sessions
Gain additional support from a buddy for the duration of the programme
Be given one-to-one feedback on your progress during the course of the programme
Be exposed to the life of a professional coach through talking with and being around the Motion Coaching Team
Build a reputation within a network of experienced professional coaches
Gain exposure through Motion Learning marketing activity
Be part of a peer network of newly qualified, high potential coaches
A Coach’s Experience
Jo Richardson
Jo works in the higher education sector as a professor of housing and social inclusion and leads the researchers in her faculty using a coaching approach.
She qualified as an executive coach in 2019 and accredited with the Association for Coaching in 2020 and has coached people who want to manage their careers in research and education.

Coach Community Commitments
For anyone wanting to join Coach Community there will be a selection process which will include a conversation about your fit for the programme and a trial coaching session to confirm your current coaching skills.
If you join Coach Community, you will need to be able to make the following commitments:

Be available to take part in the onboarding process, comprising a series of workshops across the first two months of the programme

Be available to commit approximately 10 hours each month to Coach Community for coaching sessions, supervision, other meetings and admin

Be open and available for ongoing feedback
4
Be available for regular meetings with your buddy
